ABOUT ME
Nilanjana is a Los Angeles based Director, Actress and Writer. Born and raised in Muscat, Oman - Nilanjana made her first storyboard at age 5, directed her first feature film at 18 and is now completing her Bachelors in Film & TV Production at the University of Southern California (USC).
Nilanjana's acting credit includes her feature debut What the Birds Want to Say which earned her the title of Best Actress in SoCal's WRPN Film Festival, Best Actress Jury Prize in Muscat International Film Festival and finalist for Sweden's HOPE film festival as Best Film.
Upcoming projects include feature drama Churuli in which she was lead actress, assistant director and costume designer.
Her directorial debut feature The Watchtower is in post production and projected to complete by May 2026, making her the youngest director in the Middle East as well as marking one of two feature films to come out of Oman.

Having appeared as a guest speaker on Times of Oman radio to speak for the Terry Fox Cancer Research Program, serving as Chair for the Model Untied Nations Club and founding the schools Film Club, Nilanjana also committed to creating a community of prosperity and growth while being dedicated to her passions.
