"Churuli" is a feature film set in Kerala, India. The film follows a 5-generation family of tribal women, the youngest being 16 year old protagonist Churuli. After the tragic death of her newborn child, Churuli faces against an exploitive and oppressive political landscape amidst her efforts in finding her child's final resting place. Her fight for a space to exist reflects the stories of many real life tribal people in Kerala - and this film itself is a call to action, empathy and understanding of the tribes of India. This is a 3 minute sneak peak of the 90 minute film that is in post-production.
